News Shorts - 17 June

Gunnedah Tamworth Road Race @ 16 June - Staying in Quirindi on the Saturday night looked like a masterstroke with a great new motel & excellent food nearby …. but lets talk about the endless ! ! coal trains that shuffle through the centre of town ALL through the night and the friendly train driver who hits the horn twice (once is more than enough to wake up the whole town but rules are rules). The weather dawned close to perfect with clear skies and little wind with 9am temperatures hovering just on 9 degrees. The course went due south towards Quirindi, veering left to Werris Creek, then left again into Tamworth. Rhett Hall & Conor Tarlington both rode really well in Division 2 for a peloton finish and ditto for Ruth Strapp in Division 4. The weekend was well organised save for the Quirindi coal trains !.
Recovery Ward - Speedy recovery to Peter Holyfield who had a nasty early early morning training accident riding to the lighthouse at South West West Rocks due to a confrontation with a local wallaby. Peter landed heavily and broke a pelvis. Get well soon Peter. Eric Dole & Ian Grainger have recently had near misses with wallabies on the West Head Road

  - a full compliment of BiciSport riders will compete across all Divisions. Start times are now listed. BiciSport will provide all day support at Penrith Lakes.
- Singleton TTT - August 2-4
  - with 10 BiciSport teams on the Singleton TTT start line, including the Project M Womens Team
- Goulburn Weekend - September 7 & 8
  - with Ian Grainger & Conor Tarlington
- Amy Gillet Gran Fondo - September 15 & 16
  - 10 BiciSport riders are doing the Amy Gillett Gran Fondo in 2019
- NSW Masters Road Championships (Coffs Harbour) - September 21 & 22
