Is Rolly Delaytz (BiciSport Happy Wheels) a distant relative to the famous Raul Alcala ?. We may need a Royal Commission on this ….
Raul Alcala is a famous Mexican cyclist who competed between 1985-99 and again in 2008 and 2010. Raul became the the first Mexican cyclist to compete in the Tour de France. Professional teams included 7-Eleven (86-88), PDM (89-92), then Word Perfect (93), Motorola (94-97), Team GT (98), Arreola Hnos (2008-10). Raul’s major claim to fame was winning the Young Riders classification at the 1987 Tour de France and finished in the top 10 in 5 Grand Tours.

Miko-Carlos Professional Pro Team (France) - !974-76
The team was originally branded MIC- Ludo then became Miko (being French ice cream). Team manager was the legendary Jean De Gribaldy (who also managed the KAS team with Sean Kelly in the mid 1980’s). Framesets were ALAN (being Italian) … noted as being supremely elegant but equally prone to breaking and extreme bottom bracket sway.
Team riders were many but results were few - George Pintens won the Liege Bastogne Liege Classic in 1974 but it was as good as it got. The other team riders included Eric Leman (genuine Belgian legend but at the end of his illustrious career), Regis Clere, Paul Wellens, Michel Laurent, Hubert Mathis, Jan Krekels (noted sprinter) & Wilfred Wesemael (another Belgian hard man)
